Why should I hire a freelance copywriter rather than a large digital marketing company?

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with hiring a digital marketing company, however, if your project is copy-driven, you’re going to save lots of money coming to me rather than going through a company.

I have no overhead, therefore, I charge less. Plus, many companies like these don’t have in-house copywriters. They end up coming to someone like me. So, avoid the “middleman” and come straight to the source.

What makes you the right copywriter for the job?

I have more than 10 years of experience copywriting and I’m always learning more about the craft, staying current with where the industry’s going.

I also have a BA in English and an MS in Professional Writing from New York University. During my Master’s degree program, I had the opportunity of working with some of the leading experts in the field who write for business and the financial services industries. I was also able to learn the principles of professional writing.

I also had the pleasure of interning with the European Graduate School where I co-edited a 52-page dissertation. I learned the proven techniques for crafting documents that persuade. I’ve helped thousands of clients over the course of my career, and many have happily given me repeat business.

What kinds of companies do you currently work with?

Currently, I’m working with web designers, business owners, ad agencies and marketing firms. 

How do you bill your clients?

I bill clients through PayPal. I charge 50% up front, and the remainder upon delivery of the finished document.

How much are your services?

I typically charge based on the difficulty and length of each project. Each quote is individualized so no two quotes are the same. I usually assess how much work is needed and the level of expertise required when quoting prices.

My rates are competitive because I have low overhead costs. I work right from the comfort of my own home office.

Can I have a free quote before making a decision?

Yes, absolutely. I provide clients with a detailed quote outlining all of the work that will be completed before they make the decision to work with me.

What are the terms of hiring you?

I require a 50% deposit, and then 50% upon completion. Payment is due no later than 3 business days after receipt of documents.

Will I have to sign a contract?

Yes. As with any business arrangement, a contract must be signed in order to proceed with services.

What types of payment do you accept?

I accept payment through PayPal. You can use your own PayPal account and send payment directly to me or you can use a Visa, MasterCard or Discover card to pay through PayPal. International businesses are charged a 3% fee for using PayPal.

I can also accept a wire transfer from your bank to mine.

How will you deliver the finished product?

I deliver finished documents in Word .doc files via email.

How long is your turnaround time?

That depends on the type of project and the amount of research involved. Typically, your quote will provide details about how long the project may take. I also update you periodically throughout the entire process. If additional time is required to complete the project, I will let you know immediately why and how much longer it will take. I strive to complete projects in a timely manner and have never missed a deadline.

I’m looking for someone to take on multiple projects. Do you accept clients with multiple projects?

Absolutely. I’d love to develop a long-term working relationship with you and your company. If you’re satisfied with the first project I complete for you, I have no problem completing more work for you.

What happens if I don’t like the first draft?

No worries. That’s what first drafts are for. They allow me to get to know exactly what works and what doesn’t work for your particular project. I can easily edit and make any changes requested. Usually, my first drafts don’t need many changes, as clients love what I deliver. However, if that’s not the case with you, it’s no problem. We can simply make the changes and move forward.
